Upgrade to better banking!

Hometown Bank is upgrading to new operating software! This upgrade will allow us to continue to offer the personal Hometown touch we are known for while also improving our products and services.


  • All branches will be closed on Saturday, July 20th while we upgrade the system. See “Blackout Dates & Limited Service” below for complete list.
  • Online banking, mobile banking and telephone banking will be unavailable starting at noon on Friday, July 19th and will be back online about noon on Monday, July 22nd.
  • We do not anticipate any interruptions to Bill Pay payments or auto-transfers due to the upgrade.
  • Before the upgrade weekend, you will have the opportunity to pre-register for online banking. Information about how to pre-register will be sent to every customer.

On JULY 22, 2024 the upgrade will be complete,
but there are a few things to know beforehand.

Here are the the things you need to know for our upgrade:

Online Banking:
Noon on Friday, July 19 through

Online Bill Pay:
9:00 am Friday, July 19 through
Noon on Tuesday, July 23

Mobile Banking:
Noon on Friday, July 19 through
Noon on Monday, July 22

Telephone Banking:
Noon on Friday, July 19 through
Noon on Monday, July 22

ATM Reduced Limits:
5:30 pm on Friday, July 19 through
9:00 am Monday, July 22

Limited Debit Card Transactions:
5:30 pm on Friday, July 19 through
9:00 am on Monday, July 22

Make Loan Payments or Deposits
Before 5:30 pm on Friday July, 19.
Any recurring payments that were previously scheduled will process as normal.

Business Remote Deposit Capture:
2:00 pm on Friday, July 19 through
Noon on Monday, July 22

No ATM Balance Checks:
5:30 pm on Friday, July 19 through
9:00 am on Monday, July 22

No Loan Payments Accepted:
5:30 pm on Friday, July 19 through
9:00 am on Monday, July 22

Online Bill Pay:
Noon on Friday, July 19 through
Several weeks- download what you need prior to Friday, July 19.

End of Month/Data Statements:
Our first combined statement will include the information from July 20 – August 31, so if you need end of month data, reach out to an employee or use Online Banking after noon on Monday, July 22.

We are adding/updating the following services:

  • Positive Pay for Business accounts
  • Zelle/Person-to-person funds transfer
  • Improved online banking and mobile application
  • Integration of financial management tools
  • Account Numbers
  • Debit Cards/Debit Card Numbers
  • Online Banking Usernames (Passwords will have to be updated at either pre-registration or upon first logging in on/after July 22nd)
  • Established Bill Pay Payments
  • Business Hours/Branch Locations

New Password for Online Banking
You will need to choose a new password to access online banking upon your first login after the system upgrade on July 22, 2024.

TEMPORARY PASSWORD for PERSONAL
: The last 4 digits of your social security number and your zip code (no spaces).
FOR EXAMPLE: SS#: 555-55-5555 + Zip Code: 44240 = Temporary Password: 555544240
TEMPORARY PASSWORD for BUSINESS: The last 4 digits of your Tax ID number and your zip code (no spaces).
FOR EXAMPLE: Tax ID: 555-55-5555 + Zip Code: 44240 = Temporary Password: 555544240

Username for Online Banking
Customers who have special characters or fewer than 8 characters in the username will be notified and receive an updated username. The new username will have any special characters removed, and if there are fewer than 8 characters, numbers will be added to the end (in numerical order) to meet the length requirement.
EXAMPLE:
Old Username: Bank! –> New Username: Bank1234

ATM Availability July 19- July 22, 2024
There will be REDUCED LIMITS for cash withdrawals at ATMs, and you will not be able to access account information (such as balance inquiries and transfers). Plan ahead by visiting one of our ATMs or branches before 5:30 pm Friday, July 19, 2024.

New Mobile Banking App Download
Our current mobile banking app will be disabled Friday, July 19, 2024. On Monday, July 22, 2024, the new mobile app will be available for download for both Android and Apple devices. If you have pre-registered for online banking, you will use your existing username and the new password you created to login.
If you DID NOT pre-register, use the temporary password (see “new password for online banking” at left) to login and you will be prompted to create a new password at that point.
NOTE: Your username and password will be the same for both online and mobile banking.

E-Statement Downloads:
After July 19, 2024, e-statements may not be available for up to several weeks. Please download and save any e-statements you may need in the upcoming weeks before July 19, 2024. Once our new system is up and running, 13 months of e-statements will be available.

Debit Card Purchases, Withdrawals and POS Transactions
You will be able to use your debit card for purchases and withdrawals, however there will be reduced limits during the upgrade weekend.

Need to Make A Deposit or Loan Payment Over the Weekend?
All deposits and loan payments will need to be made before the bank closes at 5:30 pm on Friday, July 19, 2024. Any recurring payments that were previously scheduled will process as normal.
