Celebrate with our Brimfield team and help us mark three decades of Hometown banking in the Brimfield community.

Thirty Years of Community Connections

Our Brimfield office has grown alongside the community over the past three decades. We have helped customers purchase homes, start and grow businesses, save for the future and navigate life’s many financial milestones.

More importantly, we have built relationships that extend beyond accounts and transactions. Our customers are our neighbors, local business owners, community leaders, friends and families. We are grateful for every person who has trusted Hometown Bank to be part of their story.

This anniversary belongs to all of you.

Celebrate With Us on September 25

Whether you have banked with us for decades, recently opened your first account or simply want to learn more about your local community bank, we invite you to join us. We look forward to celebrating the memories we have made together—and everything still ahead.

Thirty years in Brimfield. More than 125 years of Hometown banking. And we’re still right here, serving you.

In1898, when we opened in downtown Kent as the Home Building and Loan Company, our primary purpose was helping local residents finance their homes.

As the needs of the community grew, so did we. In 1953, we became Home Savings and Loan Association, reflecting our expanding services for local savers and borrowers.

In 1988, we became Home Savings Bank as we added a wider range of financial services, including checking accounts, mortgage lending, consumer and commercial loans, certificates of deposit and individual retirement accounts. We converted to a state-chartered savings bank in 1994.

Two years later, in 1996, we opened our Brimfield office and began a new chapter of service to the families, businesses and organizations of the Brimfield community.

In 2011, Home Savings Bank officially became Hometown Bank—a name chosen to better reflect the personal service, local decision-making and community commitment that have always defined us.

Today, Hometown Bank has served Portage County for more than 125 years, with offices in Kent, Brimfield and Ravenna. While banking technology, products and even our name have changed through the years, our purpose has remained constant: helping the people and businesses in our communities achieve their financial goals.

Safe. Sound. Secure. Hometown Banking Since 1898.
